How To Be Tobacco Free

One of the most important decisions that anyone who does use tobacco can make in their lives is to become tobacco free. This is because as a result of doing so, you can expect to live a healthier and longer life, whilst also helping to protect your loved ones from being affected by the harmful effects of it also.
However, doing this and going fully tobacco free is not the easiest thing in the world to do, although given the many benefits that come with doing so, it is most definitely worth it.
Dangers of Tobacco Use
By becoming tobacco free, you are seriously minimizing your chance of suffering from a whole range of different health issues , such as stroke, heart disease, cancer, and chronic lung conditions like COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). In the state of Missouri alone there are 10,000 deaths each and every year that are attributed to tobacco use. In addition to this, the smoke that is given off from burning tobacco products is responsible for some 1,150 deaths annually in the Show Me state.
However, just because you smoke and may have caused harm to your body, it does not mean that this cannot be reversed by stopping. By turning back time on the damage done, you will help yourself live a longer and healthier life. This is something that is important to remember during the hard times of going tobacco free. One thing that can help with this process is using some sort of alternative, such as a tobacco free dip or electronic cigarette.
Why Go Tobacco Free
Your loved ones and any one else that you spend time around are also susceptible to the damage caused by tobacco through exposure to secondhand smoke. This can be particularly harmful for any really young children as it increases their chance of suffering from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), asthma, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Whilst the main benefits of going tobacco free are all attributed to your health and those around you, it will also give you a much fresher smelling breath – along with whiter teeth and fresher smelling clothes and hair. Because of the impact that tobacco has on your breathing and nasal passage, it means that you will have a better sense of smell and so all food will taste better.
Using tobacco products can and does discolor your fingernails and finger tips. However, one you stop using them, this yellow tinge will fade away over time, giving you nice clean hands once again. Going tobacco free also takes away that constant thought and want of getting your next nicotine fix – something that none users ever have to worry about.
Finally, it will improve your finances as the habit of using tobacco is not a cheap one. Over the course of a year you can easily find your self spending hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on tobacco products, without nothing but bad health and an empty wallet to show for it.
